The 2024 GX was revealed last week and caused quite a stir thanks to its boxy styling. It also has a new off-road trim, the Overtrail, and a modernized interior. The GX550 is the first version to be offered, with its 349-hp twin turbo 3.4-liter engine. A hybrid powertrain will follow later. Although we still don’t know the price, we now have a better idea of the trim levels, colors, and interior configurations available on the new model. We’ve collected photos of the 2024 GX in all its trim levels and colors.
Lexus GX Premium
The Premium is the base model. It comes with four-wheel-drive, 20-inch alloy wheels, a roof, a 10-speaker sound system, and an infotainment touchscreen display of 14.0 inches. The vehicle has three rows of seating with a bench in the second row that can accommodate seven passengers.
Only the Cold Area package is available. It includes a heated wheel, a de-icer for windshield wipers, headlight washers, and what Lexus calls a “fast response” interior heater.
The Premium+ version adds several features, including a power-adjustable steering wheel, ambient lighting, and heated seats in the second row. It includes a wireless phone charger, power-folding third-row seats, and a park assist. The Premium+ model offers heated second-row captains’ chairs and a digital key, which reduces the seating capacity to six.
Lexus GX Luxury
The GX Luxury is different from the Premium due to its 22-inch wheel. It is less powerful, however, and can only tow 6990 lbs compared to the Premium or Overtrail models, which have a capacity of 8000 pounds.
Additional equipment includes:
- Semi-aniline leather for the front seats.
- Sunshades on the second-row seats.
- Mirror-puddle lamps.
The second-row captain’s chair is heated instead of the bench, and there’s a Mark Levinson audio system with 21 speakers.
The Luxury+ model adds adaptive dampers, a power-extending running board, a panoramic roof, the Mark Levinson Audio System, a digital back view mirror, a coolbox, and an audio system by Mark Levinson. Towing capacity for the Luxury+ is slightly lower, at 6780 lbs.
Lexus GX Overtrail
Overtrail, a new trim level geared towards off-road driving, includes a variety of mechanical upgrades. The E-KDSS suspension function can be used to disconnect the anti-roll bar. It also has 18-inch wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and a locking differential.
The Overtrail has a more extensive roof rail, a skid plate, and some other styling changes. It has two rows of seating with room for five people.
Overtrail+ is a model with many features like the Luxury trim. The list includes:

- Wireless chargers.
- Massaging seats in the front.
- Park assistance.
