- The 2024 Honda CR-V Sport-L trim is positioned between Sport and Sport Touring.
- Honda has increased the base price of the CR-V 2024 by $1090. The entry-level LX will now cost $30,795.
- Sport-L trim is available with front-wheel-drive as standard and starts at 37,645.
Honda will add the Sport-L trim to its CRV lineup in 2024. The Sport-L trim is offered exclusively with the CR-V hybrid powertrain. It bridges the gap between cloth-seated CR-V Sport and the flagship Sport Touring trims.
The New Hybrid Trim for the CR-V
Honda has also added a few convenience features to the Sport-L, previously only available in the EX-L gas-powered and the Sport Touring gas-electric versions.
The Sport-L comes standard with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system (2.0 inches larger than the Sport’s) and an eight-speaker audio system. This is a step up from the Sport’s six-speaker setup but needs to catch up to Sport Touring’s Bose-branded 12-speaker system. The Sport-L also comes with a standard 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment (2.0 inches bigger than the Sport) and an eight-speaker audio setup, which is better than the Sport Touring’s Bose-branded 12-speaker system.
The Sport-L is more similar to its lower-end Sport than the Sport Touring. The top-end CR-V uses a set of 19-inch tires and wheels, while the Sport-L keeps the 18-inch ones.
The Sport-L is also equipped with front-wheel-drive as standard, while all-wheel-drive costs an additional $1500. The Sport-L, like its gas-electric stablemates, uses a hybrid powertrain that generates 204 hp. It consists of a 4-cylinder gas engine with two electric motors.
The 2024 CRV is more expensive.
In 2024, all CR-V models (LX, EX, and EX-L) will continue to be powered by a 1.5-liter turbo-four with 190 hp. The rest of the sixth-generation CR-V’s lineup is unchanged for its second year. The model’s entry-level price will increase by $1090 in 2024. The base LX now costs $30,795.
